Photography to me is more than photos. Its not about picking up a camera, taking a few photos, and sending them your way. I'm inspired by your stories. I'm there to document this season of life. I want to get every wrinkled nose laugh, the smile lines. The way your spouse looks at you, and your baby throws their head back when something is really, really (i mean REALLY) funny. I want to get to know you, and the people you love most, and give you memories of where you are in life right now, to have forever.
I started shooting back in 2017. It was originally just to document my own phase of life as we were struggling through Recruiting Duty in the Marine Corps. My husband was missing a lot, and I thought, what the heck. It started with just photos of my own babies. Then taking photos for friends. I accidentally fell into this career. But truthfully, I never felt more myself than I did with a baby on my hip, and a camera in my hand.
I can't wait to meet you, to love on you, and to document this phase of life because, your memories matter, and I'm so excited to be apart of your journey.
Its so important for me to get to know you, and you to get to know me. You letting me into your lives is something I dont take lightly. So here are some fun facts about me and my crew, so you can feel more comfortable telling me about you and yours.
My husbands name is Chris, and we have been together almost a decade.
I have 3 little boys, all born within 3 years.
I went to college at Liberty University for a major in Psychology and a minor in Marketing and managing.
I love bad reality tv.
I cry at almost everything
There's nothing quite like the beauty of the great outdoors when it comes to taking photos. I'm currently on a mission to take portraits at all 58 US National Parks.
Instant coffee? No thank you. I'll wait the extra minutes for a fresh roasted French pressed coffee any day. My mornings aren't complete without a hot cup of joe.
If you have ever been in the military, or known someone who is, you know, there is a lot of absence. We were coming off a deployment, and headed in hot to recruiting duty. At the time my husband and I only had a 1 year old and a newborn, and were about to embark on a lot of time away from each other.
One night we were sitting on the couch, it was about 11pm and my husband had just got home. He made a comment to me (because he had missed another day of seeing the boys) saying ''I wish you could just freeze time, so I didn't have to miss anything". And thats how this whole business was born. I wanted to freeze time. I wanted to make sure that wherever we were, whatever phase of life we were in, these memories and moments were documented. Because time is so important & these photos last longer than we do.
